Prof. Dr. Borys Przedpełski
Borys Przedpełski (born 1968), Dr. habil. in the field of Old Catholic theology (2014), Associate Professor (2015) and Head of Department of Church History at the Christian Academy of Theology in Warsaw (2015).
He studied theology at the Christian Academy of Theology in Warsaw (1988-1993) and completed supplementary studies at the Christian-Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Bern (1994-1995). He received a Master’s degree in Theology on the basis of the Master’s thesis “The Priesthood of Women in the Mariavite Church” (1993); a PhD in Old Catholic Theology on the basis of the dissertation “Old Catholic and Orthodox Dialogue in 1871-1987” (2000); and a postdoctoral degree based on his scholarly activity and the book “Reformist Tendencies of the Roman Catholic Church in German-Speaking Countries in the 18th and 19th Centuries” (2013).
His field of research is the history of Old Catholicism and Old Catholic theology.
